Karen Spitalnick, on behalf of the Executive Board of Emunah of America, is pleased to announce the appointment of Laurie Szenicer as Emunah’s Chief Development Officer. “Laurie arrives at Emunah with years of involvement with Emunah and excellent experience in motivating and securing significant charitable support for those in need,” said President Spitalnick. “The Executive Board is confident that Laurie will enable Emunah of America to significantly increase its support of the more than 10,000 children and families in Israel.”
While living in Canada, Laurie developed a deep passion for Emunah’s work and has been involved in both volunteer and professional capacities since 1996. For the past five years Laurie has been a senior member of the Development team at OHEL Children’s Home and Family.

Laurie possesses a strong background in fundraising, event management and communications.
Laurie is also very familiar with Emunah’s programs throughout Israel and has visited many of Emunah’s residences and facilities. “My new position combines my passion for Emunah’s work and my love for Israel. I look forward to bringing my experiences to Emunah and helping drive its mission forward—impacting Israel’s most-challenged children and families. Together with the incredible Board and team we will maximize Emunah’s opportunities for greater success” said Laurie Szenicer.
Laurie’s appointment is taking place at a critical time for Emunah of America. “The needs of Emunah’s children and families are greater than ever, and we know that Emunah has friends throughout the United States who appreciate the life-saving and life-changing work of Emunah in Israel, “said President Spitalnick. “We are especially looking forward to Emunah’s Annual Circle of Life Dinner on November 19, as…all of us…work as hard as we can so those who depend upon Emunah for life’s basic needs receive the best care possible.”
