Breaking the Cycle in the best of British style
British Emunah threw an amazing evening at Guildhall on Monday 6th November. Guest speaker was broadcaster Jeremy Vine, who entertained the audience of 350 people with his witty stories. Musical entertainment was provided by two boys from the Emunah Neve Landy Children’s Village who flew from Israel especially for this event (managing a quick visit to Wembley Stadium as well) and the Immanuel College choir. Mark Regev, Israel’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, described Emunah as part of the essential fabric of the State of Israel, and warmly praised the vital work done by our organization. The appeal was made by Menachem (Manny) Machtayev, who grew up in Emunah’s Sarah Herzog Children’s Centre in Afula and who now lives and works in the Afula home with his wife Chen and their beautiful baby daughter. Menachem is living proof of how the efforts of Emunah are ‘Breaking the Cycle’.
