Welcome to Emunah of America

Since 1935, Emunah of America has provided crucial support to thousands of Israelis. Emunah is dedicated to caring for the most vulnerable children and families in Israel through the operation of numerous programs across the country. These programs encompass crisis and counseling centers, multi-purpose day care centers, homes for children at risk, high schools, and a college.

Emunah of America is a catalyst for social change, leading, mobilizing, and engaging volunteers and donors to raise essential funds that positively impact thousands of Israelis.

Emunah of America specifically focuses on supporting educational and social welfare programs aimed at strengthening the Jewish family, advancing women’s status, and promoting Holocaust and anti-bias education in both Israel and the United States.

Emunah Stories from Israel

"The Handyman"

The Hirmes Emunah Life Preparation Services (HELPS) Program, trains 8th and 9th graders in valuable life and vocational skills under professional social workers and the leadership of Segev, an Emunah graduate and carpenter. The children learn to paint, plaster, and repair walls, build furniture out of wood, basic plumbing, and lock repairs.
They children build professional skills under the guise of therapy- following directions, the pleasure and responsibility of independent work and the gratifying feeling of repairing things in the home.
Furthermore, this also increases their awareness and pride in their home, leading them to feel proud to look after their environment and prevent any damage.

Chofit- Good That Grows

Chofit is the happy mother of her fifth child, a beautiful baby boy, who had his Brit Milah this year. Chofit, the daughter of a drug addict, lived in a violent and chaotic home in Givat Olga, before being placed at Emunah Neve Michael Children’s Village in Pardes Hanna where she lived for almost a decade.
Chofit also studied at the Emunah Elisheva High School and after graduating did her national service at the Emunah Children’s Center in Afula. Today, a university graduate, Chofit and her husband Zion, are the dedicated parents of a mishpachton, a family unit, at Neve Michael, living with their own 5 children and 12 additional residential boys.

Yakir- Success in the Flesh

Yakir is a graduate of the Emunah Sarah Herzog Children’s Centre in Afula where he lived as a young child. We are so proud of him that he, like so many of our graduates, has now joined the IDF to serve and defend his country. He is an Emunah success story and someone who shows you that you can truly beat the odds!
