CRISIS IN SOUTHERN ISRAEL

THERE ARE CHILDREN AND FAMILIES IN SOUTHERN ISRAEL SUFFERING FROM POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS SYNDROME.
THEY URGENTLY NEED EMOTIONAL FIRST AID.

EMUNAH – ISRAEL’S PREMIER SOCIAL SERVICE AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION – immediately responded to the crisis in Southern Israel by providing emergency assistance to victims of Hamas rocket attacks, Now, our centers are seeing many children and families coming in with symptoms of acute stress, anxiety, and new panic disorders. Children remain afraid – and no one knows when it will start again.

NOW IS THE TIME to show you care about the people of Israel in the line of fire.

EMUNAH CRISIS COUNSELING CENTERS, CRISIS HOTLINE, DAY CARE CENTERS, AND CHILDREN’S RESIDENTIAL HOMES remain in constant contact with the Home Front Command, receiving instructions on how best to serve the population.
EMUNAH’S CRISIS HOTLINE has been expanded to serve the increased population suffering from anxiety.
EMUNAH COUNSELING CENTERS in Sderot, Nitzan, Ashkelon, Netivot, Kiryat Gat and Beersheba are maintaining 24/7 contact with clients, to help those severely affected by shock and trauma.
EMUNAH DAY CARE CENTERS IN SOUTHERN ISRAEL have hired extra staff in order to supervise and rush children to shelters in case of attack.
THE PEOPLE IN NITZAN, most of who are Gush Katif refugees, are seeking help in large numbers from The EMUNAH Family Counseling Center in Nitzan.
IN THE EMUNAH NEVE LANDY CHILDREN’S HOME IN EVEN SHMUEL, close to Kiryat Gat, there are 48 severely emotionally disabled children who came to the Home with severe problems to begin with, now face the additional trauma of living in an expanded war zone. Additional professional staff was employed to help them deal with the crisis.
