Rabbi Jacob & Deborah Rubenstein Memorial Fund for the Children of Bet Elazraki

From their very first visit as part of the Young Israel of Scarsdale Solidarity Mission in 2003, Rabbi Rubenstein and Debbie fell in love with the children of Bet Elazraki and established a wonderfully close and lasting relationship with Yehuda Kohn, Director of the home. Both the Rabbi and Debbie were instrumental in bringing family, friends and congregants to the home to personally see the wonderful work being accomplished and their efforts have helped to raise much needed funding for the home. Every year, Debbie conducted chesed projects with her students earmarked for the disadvantaged children living at the home. The children and staff of Bet Elazraki join with the Rubenstein and Powell families in mourning the loss of their dear friends. They will always have a place in our hearts. A special project will be named in their memory.
